Saw this really nice idea for a painting on HGTV (aaah!! I hate saying that) that inspired me to erase the hard work and diamond painting I did for this argyle pattern in the bedroom. I kinda hurt to paint over it, but I like the fresh start. I'm definitely taking pictures when the painting goes up, so stayed tuned!

They tried to school Me but...
I wanted to upload some progress pics of a recent commission. I think my favorite part of a working on a painting is the process...not just of my work but other artists as well. It kind of gives you an inside look of the way people approach things. In school, they teach you to lay each color down and work "all around" the painting instead of section by section. What do "they" know anyway?

Happy Accidents?
The painting on the left was the original Daisy. Once it was finished I was anxious to shellac. I took an old can of clear shellac out of my car, and went to town not thinking the 100+ degree weather in Louisiana would have any effect on it. Lo and behold...a nice coat of yellow goodness. Devistation.
So, I went with a vintage look (minus the tramp stamp of course).

Right before it Rained
What the f**% is juice?
Walking into the office kitchen to get my morning coffee, opening up the fridge and seeing this, made my day. I stood there and laughed while everyone crinkled their faces at me like they usually do. Grape Drink reminds me a of Dave Chappelle skit. If you haven't seen it, it's worth checking out.
